Rhino Medical is leading the charge seeking Texas licensed Registered Nurses (RNs) with Charge experience available to join a team of healthcare providers in Eagle Lake, TX in the Med/Surg Unit beginning as soon as possible.

In this role, you will be providing bedside care for pre-and post-surgery patients, monitoring vital signs, and administering prescribed medications. To ensure success, medical-surgical nurses should possess extensive knowledge of various health conditions and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. An outstanding medical-surgical nurse will be someone whose expertise translates into exceptional patient care.

Opportunity Specifics:

  • Contract: 13 weeks
  • Setting: Inpatient Medical/Surgical
  • Start Date: ASAP
  • Shift: Days 7am-7pm
  • 13-Week Contracts with Extension Opportunities
  • EMR: Cerner

Daily Responsibilities:

  • Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care plans in collaboration with healthcare professionals.
  • Administer prescribed medications, change dressings, insert catheters and start IVs.
  • Adjust specialized medical equipment as needed and interpret/record measurements.
  • Monitor patients' vitals and report any adverse reactions to medications.
  • Collaborate on discharge planning and educate patients and their families on procedures and post-surgery care.
  • Maintain and update patient files, charts, and health records.
